TREY GUNN ARE TU

Crazy, heavy, electronic raw tunes and improvisations from King Crimson rhythm section.  Yes it’s a formidable combo: Pat Mastelotto – master of electric and acoustic drums, and Trey Gunn – expert on War Guitar, a guitar designed for two-handed tapping techniques, form the progressive/experimental band TU. Both members of the legendary progressive rock groupKing Crimson, Mastelotto and Gunn have enough sound palate to paint the world, and they have. The duo was born during the rehearsals for the King Crimson The Power to Believe sessions and has produced three CDs to date. TU have played around the world, opening for the band TOOL on their 10,000 Days tour. Their live performances, accompanied by video backdrops and guest musicians make the powerful TU + 2 performances unforgettable.

8.8 Earthquake.

Prayers for Japan. Such a terrible tragedy. That earthquake happened the day Uranus moved into Aries.  My favorite astrologer  had already written everyone  should experience shock and awe when that happens, and i took that to heart as i watched the middle east unravel, --but now, with Japan being  so violently torn  to pieces it has even more impact, as i wonder what  what else we can expect i wrote her asking for hope and she replied: The solution is to embrace radical change. The more tightly anyone holds on to what they have always done, the more painful Uranus will make things. read more here.

on a personal note, i first went to  Japan in 1979 and have many dear friends there,  i have emailed the ones i can and the stories are severe: 70 year old mother walking over 10 miles from tokyo to yokohama to finally get picked up by family in the car & get taken home. she walked from 5pm until 3am. she's tough & great attitude!  Another musician wrote me 'I want to steal out of a nightmare', a promoter wrote "aftershocks made me feel the end of the world", already gas shortages, no phones, no electricity, flooding. and then there are the friends and fans  that i dont know how to reach - so many i hope are ok- especialy Mr. Kato and his little place Enn underground in the central Sendai, his staff and their families, all audiences who often come to our shows there our prayers are with you, and all of Japan.
